Last month went by way too fast!!!
Don’t get me wrong, I’m enjoying the New Year, but so many things were crammed into last month that my head is still spinning trying to register what all went on. Birthdays, Holidays, and even though I promised myself I wouldn’t I started reading 3 new books last month too. I had an appointment at University of Michigan the first week of December for my Cochlear Implant, and after the appointment my mom & I stopped in the mall to honor our tradition if going to H&M since it’s next door to Dr. Z’s office.
I found this photo hidden in a file while cleaning up my desktop today, which was taken while at the mall. The woman standing next to me in the photo seriously embodied bliss. Her cheerful smile alone made me feel at peace like I had just run into a close friend I hadn’t seen in awhile. Her hugs were so welcoming along with the scent of her perfume; which instantly made me think of my Grandmama (pronouced: GRAND-MaMa) I know that sounds nuts, but I believe that some people walk into your life to motivate you become a better person.
To the lady in red, thank you for the reminder to be inspired by life!
Thanksgiving was awesome!!!
I didn’t get any pumpkin pie, but I had a badass time with the family. Now on to the Christmas, right!? I’m looking forward to all the fun family traditions this season brings, and I can’t wait to share them with you! The novelty of the holiday time of year is definitely back watching Cooper’s eyes widen by the sight of tree’s decorated by shiny ornaments’ and colorful lights. I can’t wait till we take him to see Santa at the mall!! I’ve been extra good this year; do you think Santa has a 2005 Ford Escape Hybrid in his bag for me, so I can continue to inspire and do good things in the world?? …I can keep dream, can’t I!?
Seriously, Christmas isn’t about what you receive, but about how you give. There is a song that comes to mind with that bit of knowledge, Jackie DeShannon’s “Put A Little Love in Your Heart”. This holiday season (from now until the New Years), I am collecting new or slightly used coats and other winter apparel (all sizes) for those in need. As we head into the arctic winter months, please help me to keep everyone warm. The holidays are enough of a strain, and this is a very simple gesture to help inspire others with our kindness. Put a little love in your heart, and the world will be a better place! If you are interested in donating, please email Jessica.lifeinspiresme@gmail.com for more information with “Stay Warm” in the subject box.
Peace, love, rockon!
Jessica
