Welcome you to my world. It hasn’t been easy, painless, or simple but that is what makes this one incredible journey. My experiences in dealing with Neurofibromatosis (NF) have taught me some amazing lessons about life and myself. I’ve learned to never give up, even when I thought all was lost…. fight like a champ till a little victory is made. In dealing with all of this, I have encountered some pretty amazing people, and have ventured to some pretty interesting places. Life inspires me and it is all you who’ve touched my life that have given me the strength to inspire others even when I thought I had been pushed to my limits.

Last year a big decision was looming in the horizon and I had been fortunate enough to put it off for 7 years. My doctors had been monitoring an acoustic neuroma on the right side of my brain and the brainstem tumor as well. The tumors were causing excruciating head pressure; it was a pain I couldn’t see, yet it made it unbearable to open my eyes. After much thought and deliberation with my surgeons at the University of Michigan I decided to just go for broke and have them taken out

To catch you up to speed on my rollercoaster I call life, ABC’s Good Morning America was there to capture it all. The video links can be found below:

Hearing Again: Jessica’s ‘Miraculous’ Recovery

The cochlear implant is amazing and everyday is an accomplishment, and only a mark in progress of how far I have came in this medical journey I call my life.

My website has a simple premise. I want to inspire you to dream…and dream big. The best thing to inspire besides having dreams is courage… the courage to pursue those dreams, the courage to do the right thing, and the courage to face and overcome obstacles. I have come a long way and there are many hurdles still to face. I know now with all that has happened to me that I have the courage to keep going and many dreams of my own to pursue. Life inspires me…what inspires you?

Peace, love, and rock on!
